Broadband ISP toob has today announced that they’ve added the Hampshire (England) town and district of Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent, respectively, to their rollout plan for a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, which is expected to cost them around £18m and cover 45,000 premises.
The provider, which is supported by an investment of £162.5m from the Amber Infrastructure Group and the Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund, currently aims to cover 1 million premises across the South of England by 2027 (e.g. Surrey and Hampshire). Most of their builds can be found in cities and towns like Southampton, Aldershot, Fareham, Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford, Camberley, Ash, Farnborough, Yateley, Blackwater and Woking etc.
Customers of the provider typically pay just £25 per month for the first 18-months of service (£29 thereafter) to get an unlimited 900Mbps (symmetric) broadband package with an included wireless router, which comes with free installation.

Nick Parbutt, CEO and Founder said:
“I am delighted to announce that we are bringing full-fibre broadband to Gosport and Lee-on-the-Solent. There is a need for fast and reliable broadband and full-fibre is the best technology to deliver this experience.
At toob we want all members of the local community to get the benefit of full-fibre, so we provide all our customers with 900Mbps. This allows our customers to surf, stream, game and work – all at the same time – without the worry of slowing down at peak times or the signal dropping out at a critical moment. We offer this service for £25 per month on an 18 month contract to make these benefits available to everyone, not just the few.”
As usual, it’s important to point out that both locations are already well covered by Virgin Media’s gigabit-capable broadband network, and Openreach also have plans to expand the reach of their FTTP network in the same area. Elsewhere, Hyperoptic is known to have a fairly small presence in Gosport.
It’s a pity they can’t sort out what they have .some properties in leaside way can’t be connected they said 3 months ago still not rectified the problem
Still won’t come to Winchester.
Aldershot still has nothing to order
Toob are now building the network in Gosport, all around the streets where I live.
Not sure how long it takes till ordering after they have completed this build.
£25 for 900mbps up/down is a great deal.
Notice they do cg-nat now, but they do offer a static ip. But at £8 extra a month that is a bit steep. May have to find another way to do my home server for my home cctv cameras.
