AltNet Broadband ISP Vfast Celebrates 15,000th UK Customer

Kent-based independent UK ISP Vfast (Orbital Net), which sells packages to consumers based on a mix of fixed wireless access (FWA) and full fibre (CityFibre and OFNL – in London and Medway) broadband networks, has today announced that they’ve signed-up their 15,000th internet access customer.

We should point out that Vfast are also building their own gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in rural parts of Kent and Sussex, which is being supported by a “multi-million pound investment” from Mobeus (here). But the last solid update we had on that was in 2021.

The MD of Vfast Internet, Rebecca Brown, said: “Vfast’s growth has definitely been accelerated by the increased need for remote workers to have fast, reliable internet access. Vfast’s AirFibre solution offers a high-speed internet alternative to rural users who, in some cases, have no infrastructure and therefore no options – something Vfast has started to address with its rural Full Fibre roll-out, which has already launched in Kent Villages.”

The provider was originally founded in 2007 and currently employs 70 people across three locations, two of which are in Kent, as well as a new central London office that opened last year.
