Contract-free mobile operator VOXI, which is a virtual network operator (MVNO) sibling of Vodafone, has today celebrated the milestone of reaching 1 million customers. The operator has come a long way since it first launched in 2017, when they initially appeared to be focused on the student market.

Since launching, the operator has expanded its availability to cater for all users and offers a distinctive mobile proposition by providing customers with unlimited access to popular social media, music and video streaming platforms without eating into your data (mobile broadband) allowance. The 30-day contract terms are handy too.

Scott Currie, Head of VOXI, said: “Reaching one million customers is an exciting milestone for VOXI and reflects our commitment to delivering innovative propositions tailored specifically to young people’s evolving needs. Our continued focus on understanding Gen Z has enabled us to differentiate in a highly competitive market, building a distinctive brand that genuinely resonates with our customers.”

Never heard of them, but if they belong to Vodafone, then I would certainly not be using them

It’s a shame the network is so slow in Leeds otherwise I’d probably use them

Vodafone for you, that is why I am worried when Vodafone and Three merges, or one of the reasons.

If only they would offer free roaming in europe

Use talk mobile they are Vodafone and much cheaper and has eu roaming

Lebara also use Vodafones’ network and does include EU roaming.

They used to, back in the day. Once they said they were dropping it I juist left them for Lebara.

    Blimey someone that understands gen-Z??

So they say. I am not sure if Gen Z understands Gen Z.

Just a matter of time after the vod/3 merger that these mvnos and others like iD and smarty will be wound down or if they are still around the prices will be much much higher. Think the the tentative timeline is 3 years.

    Good for the customer
Good for the county and finally
    Good for competition

They are a very good MVNO. During the pandemic, they were doing some infrastructure work, and gave unlimited data whilst the work was being done, which is a nice gesture.

Always have a cinema ticket offer and a nice freebie here and there. Would have stayed if they did Apple Watch cellular plans.

have been with voxi for many years, but no 5G in Cambridge on Vodafone, and barely 4G working at places made me move to 1p, not only I am getting visual voicemail and free eu roaming when needed, but also the speeds are way above 100mbit most of the time

Was with them for a while, unlimited everything for £8 a month, no issues with the service however I got a brilliant deal with EE and couldn’t refuse so left Voxi
