TAL Acquires 3,000 UK Customers from TalkTalk Owned Origin Broadband

The Horsham-based Telecom Acquisitions Group (TAL), which is a holding company for a number of familiar retail UK ISP brands (Home Telecom, Eclipse Broadband etc.), has announced that they’ve just acquired another small batch of 3,000 broadband customers from the remaining part of TalkTalk owned provider Origin Broadband.

Just to recap. TalkTalk transferred 95,000 customers from Origin Broadband, which is a trading name for Origin Communications and OB Telecom (owned by TalkTalk), to Utility Warehouse (Telecom Plus) last year as part of a new partnership (here). At the end of last year they also transferred a small number (850) of Origin’s remaining residential broadband customers on Vodafone-based lines to TAL / Home Telecom (here).

The latest addition of 3,000 customers from the Origin Group to TAL appears to represent another batch of those who are connected to the underlying Vodafone network. As before, TAL states that the transferred customers will “continue to enjoy the same prices, terms and conditions and connectivity they are accustomed to, with the added benefit of being supported by Home Telecom’s dedicated UK-based sales and customer service teams.”
