Two business ISPs based in the Thames Valley region, Xifos and Perceptive Online, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to merge their businesses. The combined provider that results will become “dedicated to providing quality Cloud based services“.
But for now the two ISPs will continue to operate as separate legal entities, although customers can still benefit from access to a full range of services via both businesses. The merged business is expected to generate a turnover in excess of £1.5 million and aims to quadruple sales within 5 years.
Alexander Fossa, Managing Director of Xifos, said:
“This marks an evolution for our business and our customers as we now have the ability to grow our state of the art network to support the expanded customer base and to extend our Data Centre infrastructure.”
Brian Parnham, Managing Director of Perceptive, said:
“I am looking forward to offering our combined customer base and all our new customers a first class service based on the enhanced portfolio of products that the new business will be offering. Our unique UK Data Centre structure means we are well positioned to give our customers confidence to commit to Cloud based services.”
Both ISPs, which aim to achieve a seamless process, expect the merger to take roughly 6 months of work before it’s completed. They have already connected their Newbury and Reading based Data Centres to create a “unique environment” (i.e. a bigger data centre).
