ISPreview.co.uk has learnt that Pulse DSL, a little known broadband provider for the UK market, quietly ceased trading during July 2012. Its website has now vanished but the ISP looks set to make a surprise comeback, albeit under a different brand.
Details about the situation are still in short supply but we know that a change in management took place earlier this year (around February 2012). Back then a spokesperson for the ISP told us that, “the residential market is not for PulseDSL and we wish to focus in the B2B space“.

The ISP today informs us that their customers were given several months’ notice and have since been “moved to the new platform“. Furthermore PulseDSL intends to return in the near future, albeit under a different brand and possibly with a greater focus on the business market. At the time of writing Companies House still lists PulseDSL’s status as “Active“.
UPDATE 18th July 2014
PulseDSL now has a new owner. In a statement a spokesperson for the ISP told ISPreview.co.uk, “Pulse DSL have been purchased in September 2013 and will continue business in the B2B sector under new management. Pulse DSL have undergone some major changes and enjoyed local project work, including networking and hardware maintenance, before relocating to London and launching hosted voice, mobile and EFM services. There has been significant growth in 2014 following the restructure, which we plan to continue.“
