Apple Mac friendly broadband ISP MacAce.net claims to have revamped their entire range of packages with “true unlimited downloads“, faster internet speeds, improved support and the inclusion of a courtesy 3G router (mobile broadband) if there is ever a problem with your connection.
The provider, which last year won the Best Customer Choice award at the ISPA UK Awards 2012 (here), now claims to offer a range of Performa standard broadband (up to 24Mbps) and phone packages from just £15 inc. VAT per month. On top of that their new LightSpeed Fibre (up to 40Mbps or 80Mbps) superfast broadband (FTTC) deals start from £20 per month (£60 installation).

Sadly the options that come with an “unlimited” usage allowance tend to cost £10 a month extra and customers will also need to pay line rental (Onevoice) at £15 per month. Onevoice offers customers per second billing (BT charge per minute), no connection charge, the same number and 1p per minute calls (unlimited calls can be added for an extra £5).
Gary Hall, CEO of MacAce, told ISPreview.co.uk:
“We believe broadband should be unlimited, unrestricted and should be delivered to you as fast as your line can handle – all of the time. We work hard to achieve this. We don’t want to hide behind special offers, excess fees, cancellation charges, long contracts, silly connection charges for calls, unfair rounding of call charges or restrictions and limitations.
So we sat down and designed the best value premium broadband packages we could. And the result is our new simplified broadband packages. Another new innovation is our courtesy 3G router to help customers through any extended broadband issues that might arise – free of charge.”
On top of all this the provider also claims to offer a 100% Uptime Guarantee, which in reality means that they’ll “give you your money back” if things do go wrong. The terms for this are a little vague but we’d imagine that you can only claim for the period of actual downtime and this must first be agreed with MacAce.
