Cable ISP Virgin Media UK should today completed the national roll-out of their latest R38 Firmware update for the troubled SuperHub (NetGear) wireless router and modem device, which fixes a couple of nasty bugs.
The new update, which should apply once the SuperHub is rebooted, has already been pushed down to most of the operators customers and will today be made available to users on the L30 broadband package. It is said to fix two problems, one that triggered a “no downstream lock” issue and another that caused the SuperHub to keep “perpetually” trying to upgrade to the previous R37 firmware.

Thankfully Virgin Media hopes to put the woes of its first generation SuperHub behind it when they start rolling out their new and significantly improved SuperHub V2 kit over the coming weeks (full details).
