The state aid supported £25 million Better Broadband for Oxfordshire programme, which was signed last week (here) and aims to bring superfast internet access (25Mbps+) to 90% of Oxfordshire by the end of 2015, has published a map of the expected rollout locations.
BTOpenreach has already started surveying locations around the county and the actual roll-out, which will help more than 64,000 homes and businesses to receive faster connectivity, is expected to commence in January 2014.
The map itself (higher res PDF version), which was first spotted by the Cotswolds Broadband project and Thinkbroadband, shows white areas for speeds of 2Mbps and up to 24Mbps. Elsewhere dark grey areas signify the locations that BT’s commercial FTTC/P rollout will reach by spring 2014 and the blue areas represents the £25m scheme’s expected coverage.
