UPDATE Origin Broadband Offers Phone Line Rental from £8.33 Monthly

Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 (1:55 am) - Score 583

South Yorkshire ISP Origin Broadband has announced a new deal for Christmas that brings the cost of pre-paid Phone Line Rental down to the equivalent of just £8.33 inc. VAT per month for customers across the United Kingdom, which is significantly cheaper than most rival pre-paid line rental offers.

The offer actually comes in two flavours, both providing 12 or 24 months standard telephone line rental for a reduced equivalent monthly charge of £9.17 on the 12 month deal (total of £109.99) or £8.33 per month on the 24 month deal (total of £199.99).

It’s important to note that Super Saver is just a bog standard phone line, which does not provide inclusive calls as standard. Origin can provide call packages on top of this with Anytime Calls for £6.49/month or Evening and Weekend Calls for £2.50/month (charged monthly).

UPDATE 13th Nov 2014

Some of the details on Origin’s site were incorrect, but these have now been updated and we reflect the changes above.

Based on the way they handled my home digital region closure, they would have to pay me. Currently advertising “dedicated account managers” for every customer on the radio, when only a few months ago you couldn’t get anyone at the company to reply or speak to you.

It was not Origin Broadband’s fault the Digital Region network shut down, this was the government’s fault. Yes Origin should have done things differently but they have now got their own network which I am now connected on (thanks to the guidance of Stephen) and things are back to the way they used to be, phones answered very quickly and any issues I have gets resolved as soon as possible.
I haven’t had any issues since being connected and I’m happy I stood by Origin.

I agree with you whole-heartedly, the DR closure was down to the FACT that it was vastly under-subscribed, due to it having been marketed by monkeys. Hardly any or the potential DR users even knew that it even existed! I too am now re-connected on Origin’s OWN network & the customer service is second to NONE. I am Very happy that I stood by Origin. I got GREAT customer service from my previous ISP (O2, before they sold their service to Sky – They were voted number 1 for customer service 3 years running), but even they didn’t match the quality of the customer service provided by origin. I am more than happy with Origin & look forward to watching them grow from strength to strength over the coming years.

      Mike
