UK ISP SSE Shocks with 2 Years FREE Broadband and Calls

Energy provider SSE (Southern Electric), which also does broadband and phone bundles, has launched a surprising discount across their entire range of unlimited broadband packages that offers “Free broadband” for two full years of service or a big half-price discount on their superfast “fibre broadband” (FTTC) bundles.

As usual the discount only applies to broadband and phone bundles, although SSE’s Phone Line Rental only costs £12 per month. Apparently the promotion price will be available to new customers until 16th September 2015.

All packages include an unlimited usage allowance, free connection, free wireless router and an 18 months free subscription to their Internet Security Suite (£2 per month thereafter). The actual contract period is 18 months, although if you intend to use the full two years then that would work out as 24 months.
