UK ISP XLN Telecom Refreshes Branding and Cuts Broadband Prices

Tuesday, Apr 21st, 2015 (8:26 am) - Score 1,078

Business focused ISP XLN Telecom has refreshed their branding and simplified their range of broadband and phone packages. As a result of this a number of new bundle discounts have been launched for new customers, which will be available to order until the end of June 2015. Prices now start at just £2.55 per month for the first 12 months of service.

As usual the bundles all require new customers to take XLN’s own Phone Line Rental service, which adds £15.45 per month to the total cost listed below. In addition, being a business solution means that all of these prices exclude VAT at 20%. Take note that we believe the contracts below are 24 months, although xln’s website is not clear and it could be 12 months.

Broadband and Phone Basix
* Unlimited broadband usage
* Download speeds of up to 17Mbps
* Free wireless router (£9.99 delivery charge) & setup
* Multiple email addresses
* Standard call rates (cheaper than BT)

PRICE: £2.55 per month for the first 12 months (£6.50 thereafter) + line rental

Unlimited Broadband and Phone Xtra
* As above plus..
* Unlimited UK landline, 0870 & 0845 calls
* Free online security

PRICE: £7.50 per month for the first 12 months (£11.50 thereafter) + line rental

Broadband and Phone Max
* As above plus..
* 500 UK mobile minutes

PRICE: £11.50 per month for the first 12 months (£16.50 thereafter) + line rental

XLN also offers a number of standalone broadband packages, although the “unlimited” usage option for this starts at £14.95 per month as opposed to the standard price of £6.50 when bundled with a phone service. Likewise they also offer an ‘up to’ 76Mbps Business Fibre (FTTC) package, which includes all the benefits of the above ‘Max’ package and will set you back £32 per month + line rental.

But take note that subscribers in rural areas, which exist outside of XLN’s lower cost areas, may have to add an extra +£3 per month to the cost of their service.
