ITS Technology Scoops One of Openreach’s Former Managing Directors

The ITS Technology group, which has deployed a mix of superfast and ultrafast fibre optic and wireless broadband networks around the UK, has appointed Openreach’s former Managing Director of Business and Corporate delivery, Daren Baythorpe, to be its new MD.

Apparently Daren has already been performing a business strategy and advisory role for ITS (over the past six months), not least by helping to advance and expand the company’s UK business plans, which has now culminated in him being appointed to a more permanent position.

Roy Shelton, CEO of ITS Tech, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Daren as MD. Daren has excellent credentials and has led and transformed some of the largest and complex workforces in the UK telecoms sector. Plans are already in place and being delivered for the next phase of our planned significant growth of our 21 networks throughout the UK, including the augmentation of our concessions and our national network.

ITS goes from strength to strength and with Daren’s focus and direction along with our additional investment from our first institutional investor there are some exciting times ahead!”

End.

Top guy Daren, I worked with his a part of a major delivery team at BT.I am sure he will do well in his new role as ITS look like they have been growing quickly so will need his skillset and experience as they go forward.
