Broadband ISP Virgin Media UK Adds Sky Cinema to TV Go App

Cable broadband provider Virgin Media has announced that their Virgin TV Go app will now allow their Pay TV customers to watch the Sky Cinema channels, as well as hundreds of movies on-demand. Users will also be able to download movies so that they can watch them on the move or at a time that suits them.

Previously, the operator’s TV customers have had to use the dedicated Sky Cinema App to watch movies on their chosen device, which wasn’t ideal. The Virgin TV Go app also allows a maximum of two devices to be used to watch content at the same time. Naturally you’ll need a package that includes the Sky Cinema content.

David Bouchier, Chief Digital Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media, said: “With Sky Cinema now available through our TV Go app, our customers will now enjoy a more streamlined experience when watching their favourite movies on their devices. This new feature is one of many recent additions over the past few months to enhance the viewing experience for our TV customers.”

I was just thinking the same thing. it’s nice not to have several apps. Now if only they streamed Baby TV like Sky do I would be very happy s

On the press release from Virgin it says you can watch all sky cinema films on demand via their app. Thats not actually true, they have only added the ‘most popular’ with the full catalogue coming ‘later in the year’. Its quite disappointing that they don’t give you the service they tell you they have.
