UK ISP TalkTalk has appointed Ruth Kennedy to the newly created role of Group Fibre Development Director, which is a position focused on enabling more businesses and communities across the UK to benefit from faster and more reliable fibre broadband connectivity.
Ruth previously worked as Group Business Development Director at TalkTalk and has held various other positions at the operator over the past 8 years. In her new role she will have to work closely with suppliers to deliver reliable fibre networks and develop new full fibre solutions. Outside of the ISP, Ruth is vice-chair of Green Corridor, a specialist education charity.

The move is interesting since comes shortly after Toscafund’s £1.1bn offer to buy the ISP was officially recommend (here).
