Broadband ISP Connexin, which recently started work on their £80m investment to build a new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across parts of Hull and East Yorkshire (here and here), has today appointed the former CEO of Kelly Group, Simon Burckhardt, to be the new Managing Director of its Consumer, Business and Enterprise division (CBE).

Simon has over 30 years of industry experience and, aside from Kelly Group, has also held various C-Level roles, including as Managing Director of Vonage UK, as well as Chief Commercial Officer roles in operating companies at both Telefonica O2 and Ooredoo, and senior marketing and strategy roles at BT.

The CEO & Founder of Connexin, Furqan Alamgir, said: “We are committed to investing in our local region through investing in our people and bringing the best of the best to our hometown of Hull. Simon is an industry super star signing and we are beyond excited to welcome him to our team here at Connexin.”

Have Connexin given any details on where in Yorkshire they’ll be building?
Areas in the north like Filey, Hunmanby & Scarborough are lacking in FTTP but Driffield & Bridlington have KCOM
    & OR.
