ISP Zone Broadband UK Joins MS3’s FTTP Broadband Network

Internet provider Zone Broadband, which is normally more accustomed to selling packages via Openreach’s national network, has this week become the latest UK retail ISP to hop on to MS3‘s new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in the North of England.

In case anybody has forgotten. MS3 are currently rolling out a new full fibre network to homes and businesses in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. The operator ultimately aims to cover 500,000 UK premises within the next 4 years (around 2026) and some of their first builds are taking place in the Hull, Scunthorpe, Cleethorpes and Grimsby areas.

NOTE: Zone Broadband currently has a customer base of 20,000.

Zone and MS3 actually have a prior relationship, as the two have previously worked together – throughout a 5-year period – to deliver broadband services into large MDU’s (residential buildings) in Hull. As such, the new partnership represents somewhat of a logical extension for the ISP.

Darren Wright, Co-Founder & Director at Zone Broadband, said:

“We are truly excited and privileged to work with MS3 to deliver Full Fibre Broadband to the Residents and Business of Hull, Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Scunthorpe. Our Network can supply connections to Residential customers up to 1Gbps Full Fibre and Businesses up to 10Gbps in the MS3 network area.”

Zone has setup a dedicated product page for their MS3 based services in Hull (here), which reveals that customers will be charged from £29.95 per month for a 100Mbps package and that rises to £49.95 for those who want their top 900Mbps tier. Sadly, the product page makes no mention of minimum contract terms, upload speeds, routers or installation costs, but we are asking about this.

UPDATE 2:47pm

The page now states that their MS3 based packages charge a setup fee of £19.95, deliver symmetric speeds and have a contract length of 24-months. The packages also come with “business grade Dual-Band DGA0122 Routers which also have VoIP capability“. We assume they mean Technicolor’s Cobra router.
