Fibre broadband builder and UK ISP Swish Fibre, which is busy deploying their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network to cover 250,000 premises across the Home Counties of England, has recently added another 36 new locations to their rollout plan for Yorkshire (conducted via their Swish Fibre Yorkshire subsidiary).
The operator, which is being supported by £225m of funding from Fern Trading (they also back Giganet, AllPoints Fibre, Jurassic Fibre and Vorboss), has so far focused most of its efforts on various locations in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Hampshire. But in August 2022 they also expanded into Yorkshire (here).
The first Phase One locations to benefit from their expansion into Yorkshire (predominantly in the North of the region) were Boroughbridge, South Milford, Hillam and Sherburn in Elmet. The first customers in Sherburn-in-Elmet recently signed-up to the service, and over 1,000 have joined since the subsidiary’s recent soft launch.
However, it seems as if Swish Fibre Yorkshire has been very busy since August, not least because their website now lists a mass of new locations under both their current Phase One and future Phase Two build.

Customers can expect to pay from £30 per month (currently discounted to £20) on an 18-month term for their entry-level 150Mbps (symmetric) package, which rises to £75 (currently discounted to £50) for their top 900Mbps tier. But you do have to pay a £50 one-off activation fee to cover the installation and router etc. A more expensive no-contract option is also available without the discounts. But the provider is currently offering the first 6 months of service for free!
