The quirkily named ISP I Need Broadband (INB), which began building their own gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network around early 2021 (called “I-Fibre“), has ended a long period of silence by confirming that their new infrastructure has been expanded to cover several new areas in Nottinghamshire.
Back in 2021 we noted that INB was planning to expand across small parts of North Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire (England). One of the first to benefit was the Larwood Park Estate in Kirkby, which included 250 homes. At the time we noted that the provider was also targetting a further 7 estates (spread across the Nottingham, Mansfield and Derby areas) – covering several thousand premises, but we haven’t had any updates since.
The good news, according to information in the local Hucknall Dispatch newspaper, is that INB has now extended their full fibre network to cover both the Jasmine Gardens and Willow Field Estates in Annesley and Newstead (Nottinghamshire).
Adrian Robinson, MD of INB, said:
“We are proud to have brought full fibre internet to these areas, where residents and businesses were previously struggling with slow internet speeds. We believe that everyone should have access to reliable and affordable internet services, regardless of where they live.”
Residential customers can expect to pay from £24.99 per month (18-month term) for a maximum download speed of 50Mbps (10Mbps upload) including a wireless router and £49.99 (one-off) for installation. This rises to £59.99 for their top 500Mbps tier.
