Broadband ISP and mobile operator Manx Telecom, which serves homes and businesses on the Isle of Man (a British Crown Dependency) in the Irish Sea between England and Ireland, has confirmed that many of their customers will be hit by annual price hikes of 12.5% from 1st May 2023.
The provider’s CEO, Gary Lamb, apologised for the increase and said: “Unfortunately it is necessary to pass on some of the rising costs we are experiencing as a business so that we can maintain our services and continue to invest in the island’s telecommunications infrastructure.”
However, despite the increase, we do have to credit Manx Telecom for being just about the only ISP to put out a public and fully detailed summary of everything that is changing on their price table (here). Most other providers prefer to sweep such details under the carpet and only release a very limited and generalised summary of their changes.
