Asterion-backed MS3, which is working to rollout a 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband ISP network to cover 530,000 premises across the North of England by around 2026 (here), has today announced the appointment of an expanded senior leadership team ahead of their rollout accelerating.
At present, most of MS3’s early build has taken place around parts of North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, such as in areas of Hull, Scunthorpe, Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Scunthorpe etc. Some 35,000 homes and businesses were officially expected to be connected by the beginning of 2023, but we don’t know whether that has been achieved yet. The operator is still in its early deployment phase and claims to be passing 1,000 premises a week.
In terms of the new appointments. Tony Jopling has become the operator’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), while Simon Harvey was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Charl Tintinger as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Tony previously held positions at Pure Broadband and KCOM, while Tintinger previously held CTO positions at Airband Community Internet and Gigaclear.

Tony Jopling said:
“Having worked in the local broadband industry for many years, I know how important it is to provide choice, quality, value for money and great customer service to residents and businesses within Hull and the surrounding areas. I’m excited to be working with MS3 Networks and its growing number of partners, to deliver this strategy to over 530,000 properties over the next few years.”
End.
