Sky Mobile, which is an O2 (VMO2) powered mobile operator (MVNO), is adding cellular laptops to its range of available devices from just £11 a month (includes mobile broadband plan). Customers who take one of these will benefit from Sky’s data rollover feature (i.e. any unused data each month gets rolled into a Piggybank which can be used later – either for a data boost, to share with other SIMs on their plan or to purchase accessories).
The range launching will include four new Samsung connected laptop models, the Chromebook GO LTE, Chromebook2 360 LTE, as well as two Windows laptops, the Galaxy Book2 Go 5G and the premium Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G, with more laptops arriving later in 2023.
Prices start from £11 a month, and with flexible 36 or 48 month payment plans and 0% interest. Data plans start from £0 for 100MB, ranging to £26 for 75GB, and existing Sky Mobile customers can also roll any spare data between their mobile SIM and their laptop SIM. Sadly, Sky Mobile hasn’t yet launched a plan with “unlimited data“.

Paul Sweeney, MD of Sky Mobile, said:
“We want to help our customers get access to the best technology at prices that are affordable. Customers will now be able to get the same great Sky Mobile benefits like Roll and Mix on their laptop devices, where they won’t lose any of the data they’ve bought, and can change their data plan up or down to suit their needs, offering flexibility and great value without having to compromise on the quality of the tech.”

I got the Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 5G from them about 4 weeks ago – so this is nothing new?
It’s news to me so go figure.
Telesales? Hasn’t been available online for 4 weeks
o2 got no 5G anywhere in UK. Pointless
They literally do.
It is fair to say that o2 currently have less 5G coverage.
And I am midlly surprised that Sky (owned by Comcast) continues to deal with a company that is increasingly a broad competitor (VMo2–Virgin in high speed broadband and subscription TV, and parent Liberty as a competitor to Comcast in the US).
Maybe contractual obligations on both sides, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Sky shifts at some point to Three or Voda (depends who is left after further consolidation). Maybe BT (BT Sport is a competition, Openreach is a necessary element, EE/BT/Plusnet is various competition)
Very expensive
Go for RWG mobile. They are using EE and data sim 5GB for £4. No contract and good 5g coverage
Or Lebera 5GB for £5 and they using Vodafone 4g & 5g.
