MS3, which is supported by 30 ISPs in its effort to roll out a new 10Gbps capable full fibre (FTTP) broadband network across the North of England (here), has announced that their new fibre infrastructure now covers 60,000 premises in Lincolnshire (England) alone and a big chunk of that comes from their Scunthorpe build.
At present MS3 is busy deploying a 10Gbps capable full fibre (FTTP) broadband ISP network across parts of Lincolnshire and Yorkshire in England. In total, some 106,000 premises (RFS) have already been covered (c. 150,000 built) as of September 2023, but the operator ultimately aims to reach 535,000 premises across the North of England by the end of 2025 (here).
The operator claims that the finished network could add up to £9m to Scunthorpe’s GDP and create up to 100 local jobs, although it’s always wise to take forecasts related to the economic impact of faster broadband speeds with a sizeable pinch of salt. This is because rival networks are also present, and most consumers will not be starting from a point of zero broadband connectivity.

Guy Miller, CEO of MS3 Networks, said:
“Supporting economic growth across regions that are at risk of digital exclusion is a hugely important part of our work at MS3. Access to full fibre broadband not only attracts new businesses to an area, but also encourages local talent to stay, which is key in driving the economy of regions such as North Lincolnshire.”
Unfortunately, today’s announcement didn’t include an update on MS3’s overall level of network coverage, including areas outside Lincolnshire.
Sadly this appears to be for the northern half of Lincolnshire based on their location map and just misses out my town
See if any of these communities have their own Ray @ Hedon. Think this is Openreach country so very few new poles 🙂
