The annual 2024 Comms National Awards were held this week, which each year works to recognise the stand-out organisations, technologies, leaders and innovations in the communications and ICT communities. The event covers a lot of different categories, and there were several wins for alternative broadband networks / ISPs.
The winners were selected by a team of judges from the wider industry and associated sectors. But one of the standouts was MS3 being named as the ‘Best Altnet’ for the second year running, as well as ‘Best partner support programme’ in recognition of their commitment to delivering more broadband choice across the Hull and Humber region.
The caveat is of course that, with such a small judging panel and little reflection for customer feedback, industry awards like this are always best taken with a fair pinch of salt.

What an absolute load of self congratulatory nonsense, and absolute nonsense awards.
The list seems designed to spread the joy and help these companies advertise they won a specific award.
Yet another meaningless sham awards.
Who, precisely, pays for these Award Events?
Not a week goes by without yet another event that awards the least deserving for causing communities the most distress!
When will the Government finally make these cowboys pay for their abhorrent behaviours?
I remain utterly appalled
MS3 what a joke , your last paragraph sums up perfectly “take the award with a pinch of salt “. As these awards are decided by so few and not those who really matter , customers . Surely these awards are greatly misleading.
MS3 do not provide broadband , in their own words , they provide the infrastructure for ISPs .In Hull and many East Riding of Yorkshire villages and towns unnecessary infrastructure to boot
Maybe they should get an award for using the most telegraph poles or for not engaging with residents or misleading town councils
