Gigabit broadband ISP YouFibre, which sells packages via Netomnia (inc. Brsk) and Cityfibre’s respective 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) networks – across different parts of the United Kingdom, has today announced that they’ve more than doubled their customer base in just 10 months to total 150,000.
At present Netomnia’s full fibre network currently covers over 1.8 million premises (over 90 cities and towns). But the operator is aiming to reach 2 million UK premises (homes and businesses) and 235,000 customers by the end of 2024, before then rising to 3 million premises by 2025 (inc. 1 million customers by 2028). However, these figures also include the impact from their Brsk merger, while today’s figure of 150,000 is just for Youfibre.
Ryan Battle, Youfibre’s Managing Director, said: “We’re so proud to have connected over 150,000 customers in our first few years in business. But we’re not going to stop there. Our growth plans for 2025 are even more ambitious as we continue to work towards our vision of fast and fair internet for everyone.”

Speaking of growth, Youfibre recently launched a series of Black Friday discounts across their broadband packages, which, for example, slashes the price of their 500Mbps (symmetric) speed package to just £27.99 per month and 900Mbps to £29.99 per month.

Next announcement: Netomnia telling us where they’re building in 2025 and providing more regular updates about their build, as their news page on their website is lacking in so much information on this side of things. Really want to support them, but hard to do that when they’re not posting enough about their build plans
And even more annoying, is that you can’t check as every time you go their web site or YouFibre, you have to complete the questionnaire on contact details just to see if your address is going to be covered as originally promised and the two sites using different wording, one say great news its being planned, the other saying in my area but my address isn’t in scope yet.
SEG,
Totally agree with that, you learn more from Think broadband or BIDB.uk than their Webpage.
Come on Jeremy it can’t be that difficult!
Seeing a lot of blockage work on One.network for them in Wrexham now, so things do seem to be moving again.
They are only adding a few more locations as per their page so we can assume that they will mostly expand upon existing locations like for example they have only done about 1/3 of Liverpool and Bristol
I agree we need to do better! We will come up with something more accurate next year…
I’ve forever given up hope with Netomina/Youfibre once I found out they some how class Grain as competition, -.- they totally stopped building my town because grain came there, and guess what, grain did about 14 roads. it took them 3 years.
@Jeremy: Good to hear you are looking to improve communication of builds. Of course you can’t predict what you’ll come up against when you begin building in new areas, but hopefully you will be able to share a bit more information in 2025 🙂
We will launch a 12 months rolling next year…Sorry again!
I’m not sure how much I’d trust their figures. There’s a distinct difference between premises ‘covered’ and actually being able to order a product. You’d hope onboarded customers is accurate but they’ve got form for stretching the truth.
There is nothing more reliable than thinkbroadband map. If you are able to get the data you can see they are very close to 2 million. Netomnia does not fudge figures like some others do
Hard to believe…and yet it is the truth.
Netomnia website says it’s Live in Wisbech (PE13).
In reality, pre-ordered 2021 for 2022. It’s nearly 2025, Nothing. In stage 6 (building) third year now, at least… .
Live in Wisbech doesn’t mean every street in Wisbech, Norman.
Correct
No other company is deploying at the rate these guys are! both on customers and network build, they have outstanding numbers recently
Openreach and VM are building at a quicker rate
Cityfibre are delivering a higher rate of customers and accelerating.
Openreach building faster…VMO2 not sure, they included UPP premises in their latest number, I think we are faster.
On the customer side, we use our own ISP…only Vodafone beats us 🙂 for now!
CFL beating both VF & Netomnia on customer acquisition on one patch!
Show me 😉
I’ve got to say they are doing what BT doesn’t want to do. So all credit to them.
Youfibre needs to keep their current pricing where it is if they expect to hit those lofty goals though. I certainly hope oportunistic corporate greed doesn’t hamper the companies bright future.
Thank you
Coverage is larger then I thought they ever were. Also interesting that Youfibre is also a partner of CityFibre, probably sensible to maximise take up.
I didn’t know YouFibre sold on CF network
Only in Middlesbrough, as I recall.
Correct
<10% penetration in crazy competative areas with no decent over the top – very far from out the woods
Take-up is >12% with Netomnia/YouFibre only
Where they’ve had network established for a couple of years it’s way higher than 10%. They doubled the premises passed this year. Look at the take up in these crazy competitive areas where they’ve been live for, say, 24 months. Even where they overbuilt Openreach FTTP it’s way higher than 10%.
This is a bit confusing, as their Q3 update mentioned 190k premises connected. Does this 150k refer only to YouFibre’s customers, excluding Brsk’s?
Correct
It’s a pain that they don’t seem to be building in DIG areas — my parents cul-de-sac has some DIG and those properties don’t have any full fibre options (when their neighbours can get FTTP). Argh. I’d bite YF’s hand off to get them on full fibre and get rid of the “quirks” with their FTTC line.
Only way they can build in DIG area is if there is enough interest registered from such areas….selective building
I’d love for Netomnia to actually turn on the network they have built. Construction in my part of Oxford started over a year ago finishing during the summer with the CBTs being installed on all the poles, and then nothing. Just tubleweed. I really want to support them, but finding it difficult. Its not like they would have any competition is they sort themselves out as there isn’t even any OR fttp here.
150,001 as I will be swapping in the next couple of weeks!
BIDB.uk already has it marked! They are cerrtainly on the ball. Nothing on the think broadband map yet.
Yeah!
What’s the ARPU? £13?
