Wireless UK broadband company Cambium Networks falls into administration

Devon-based Cambium Networks, which specialises in providing wireless broadband (FWA) and Wi-Fi style technologies globally and also to broadband ISPs in the UK via its local subsidiary, appears to have called in the administrators following the “unfortunate collapse of the business“.

Administration often occurs when a company, such as one that is in financial difficulty, is put into the hands of an administrator. The administrator then decides whether they can help the company to continue running or sell it off for a good price. Sources informed ISPreview that Cambium Networks Limited had officially filed a “Notice of Intention” to appoint an administrator on 10th September 2026, which we’ve since confirmed.

Once in administration, the company is often protected from legal action by people or organisations who are owed money (creditors). Administration can also mean that the company may not have to pay all its debts in full, but if deemed necessary, they can still be wound up.

The wider group is known to have been facing some difficulties, particularly since the global focused Cambium Networks Corporation found itself being delisted from Nasdaq back in March 2026 due to delayed periodic reports and SEC filing compliance issues. Shortly after this Cambium Networks Corporation officially ceased its status as a Person with Significant Control (PSC) of the UK based Cambium Networks Ltd.

The Corp’s latest annual report similarly highlighted its financial and listing challenges, with company management expressing concern about its ability to continue as a going concern due to covenant breaches, tight liquidity and uncertain access to additional financing.

Further details of the situation came to light yesterday after the company’s Senior Inside Channel Account Manager for the UK/IE & Nordics, Tariq Saddique, revealed that after more than 8 years with Cambium Networks he had been made redundant “following the unfortunate collapse of the business“.

Tariq Saddique said:

“Cambium Networks – Cambium Networks EMEA – After more than eight years with Cambium Networks, I’m writing to share that I am no longer with the company following the unfortunate collapse of the business. This is not how I expected my time at Cambium to end, but I want to focus on the many positive experiences, relationships and achievements along the way.

I am deeply grateful to every colleague, partner, distributor and customer I have had the privilege of working with across the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries. Each market, project and relationship taught me something valuable and helped me grow both professionally and personally.”

ISPreview have attempted to contact Cambium Networks for a comment, but their official PR address currently appears to be refusing external contacts. The situation is likely to have an impact upon a number of wireless broadband ISPs in the UK, as well as other companies, that are known to have adopted Cambium’s hardware and services for their networks. The administrators will naturally be looking to find a way through all of this.
