Infracapital-backed alternative network and UK ISP Fibrus, which has built their own full fibre broadband infrastructure across rural parts of Cumbria (England) and Northern Ireland, has responded to TalkTalk’s recent difficulties by offering the provider’s customers a special deal to switch (i.e. those within their network patch).
For TalkTalk customers still in contract, Fibrus said they’re offering up to £400 towards any early termination fees they might incur due to their current broadband contract (i.e. if they try to leave early to join Fibrus) and a special rental discount. TalkTalk customers who want to take this merely need to visit their custom Choose Fibrus page (affiliate link) – this offer will continue running until 13th Dec 2026.
Fibrus’ full fibre network is currently home to a total of 155,000 customers and covers 471,800 premises passed, so it’s likely that only a smaller portion of TalkTalk’s remaining consumer base will be within reach.

Dominic Kearns, CEO of Fibrus, said:
“We understand this is an unsettling time for TalkTalk customers, especially as they chose not to be BT customers because they had a choice. This choice is now at risk from being removed with the announcement BT intends to acquire the struggling TalkTalk business.
Fibrus was formed to provide that choice for consumers. A choice which includes fairer pricing and a better service. That’s our offer to current TalkTalk customers. Avoid the corporate loop back to BT and join Fibrus today for just £14.99.”
Residential packages on Fibrus typically start at £19.99 per month on a 24-month term for download speeds of 159Mbps (31Mbps upload), which rises to £29.99 for their 984Mbps (310Mbps upload) package. All of their plans include an eero 6+ or 7 router from Amazon, free installation and some packages also bundle their Total Home Wi-Fi Guarantee. Take note that, at the time of writing, the £400 contract buy-out offer can be taken by anybody.
