Software consultancy firm Zentive Group, which previously helped some of the UK’s largest communication providers implement consumer switching solutions, has today revealed that their related SureSwitch platform now supports Switching for Business (SforB) – extending the switching process to the business connectivity market.
Switching for Business (SforB) reflects the industry-agreed, gaining-provider-led switching process for business customers defined by the Gaining Provider Led Business (GPLB) Steering Group. All of this comes ahead of the not-for-profit and industry-funded One Touch Switching Company (TOTSCo) putting their new messaging platform live to support business switching.
Zentive has been involved with OTS and SforB from the start, providing technical expertise to the design process and operating as an official TOTSCo-approved Managed Access Provider (MAP) for retail ISPs. SureSwitch already supports providers ranging from independent broadband and voice specialists to some well-known national brands.

The addition of SforB to SureSwitch is intended to bring residential and business switching together under one platform (i.e. the same portal, API, SLA-tracked work queues, match-assist scoring etc.), which should make life easier for ISPs that don’t want to have to spend time and money developing their own internal solutions. The platform supports single sign-on and is backed by ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials accreditations.
Colin Noden, Sales and Marketing Director, Zentive, said:
“We enhanced SureSwitch to make Switching for Business as straightforward and cost-effective as possible. This is a leading platform, not a box-ticking exercise. Beyond helping providers manage compliance, the data and reporting give them greater visibility of switching activity, and SureSwitch becomes a powerful tool for winning new business customers.”
One interesting thing about this announcement is that Zentive are publishing their pricing in full – offering a unique insight into how much this sort of service costs ISPs: £100 a month for the platform, plus £0.22 per business subscriber a year, the same rate as residential switching. A single platform fee covers both, so existing SureSwitch customers pay only the additional subscriber charge to add business switching.
TOTSCo’s Managed Access Provider discount is also passed directly to customers, and small and community providers with 500 or fewer subscribers get a 50% discount on SureSwitch subscription fees. Zentive said providers can prepare now: apart from the one-off £350 onboarding fee payable on sign-up, there are no SureSwitch business switching fees until they are live on the TOTSCo business hub, currently expected to go live later in 2026.
