Ofcom Updates on Plan to Boost UK Full Fibre Broadband Investment UPDATE

The UK telecoms regulator has today set out more detail on how they intend to change market regulation in order to promote competition and investment in the roll-out of Gigabit capable “full fibre” (FTTP) broadband ISP networks, which will support the Government’s ambition for “nationwide” FTTP coverage by 2033.

A recent report from the Centre for Cities think-tank has revealed the top ten best and worst cities for coverage of fixed “ultrafast broadband” (100Mbps+) connectivity across the United Kingdom, which sees Luton rank top with 95% of homes and businesses being within reach and sadly Aberdeen came bottom on 2.3%.

First Homes in Coventry UK Connect to Vodafone Gigabit Broadband

Suffolk UK Secure £1.725m to Extend Faster Rural Broadband

Cityfibre Appoint Group Chief Operating Officer from Goldman Sachs

Cityfibre has today appointed a former partner at global investment firm Goldman Sachs, Simon Holden, to become its first Group Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to the CEO, Greg Mesch.
