Ofcom’s latest broadband speeds report (released this week) also includes a unique and useful insight into the Latency (Ping) and Packet Loss performance of the UK’s largest ISPs, which can have a serious impact upon the performance of specific internet applications (e.g. online video games, Skype etc.). But which provider is best?

Hull’s incumbent telecoms operator, KC, claims to have “completely eradicated” broadband “not spots” in its corner of Yorkshire (England). The development, which comes a full three years ahead of the UK government’s 2015 target, means that 100% should now be able to access download speeds of at least 2Mbps (Megabits per second).

The Managing Director of independent telecoms developer MS3 Communications, which is currently rolling out a new fibre optic based ultra-fast broadband network for businesses in Hull (Yorkshire, UK), has claimed that the local incumbent Telco, KC, now “see what we are doing as a genuine threat to them“.

MS3 Communications, an independent telecoms infrastructure developer, has confirmed that Phase 1 of their project to lay a new 116km long stretch of fibre optic cable around Hull (Yorkshire, UK), which will connect local businesses to ultra-fast broadband, is now “halfway to completion“.

Hull and East Riding’s (Yorkshire, UK) incumbent internet and phone provider, KC, has today expanded their existing superfast KCLightstream fibre optic (FTTP) broadband services by launching the “fastest fully fibre broadband service available in the UK” (KCLightstream 350) with “guaranteed” speeds of up to 350Mbps (Megabits per second).

KC (Karoo), the incumbent internet and phone provider for Hull and East Riding in Yorkshire (UK), has today launched a new KC Connect service that offers to send out an engineer to help owners of the latest Smart TV’s connect them to the internet. KC has also promised to double the usage allowance of any broadband customers who take the service.

KC, the incumbent broadband and phone provider for Hull and East Riding in Yorkshire, has today issued a brief trading statement for the period ending 31st March 2012, which confirms that the telecoms provider has been able to deliver a minimum download speed of 2Mbps (Megabits per second) to all homes and businesses on its network.

KC, the incumbent internet and phone provider for Hull and East Riding (Yorkshire, UK), has claimed that the ongoing roll-out of their new Lightstream fibre optic broadband service (FTTH / FTTC), which kicked off last month, has managed to connect over 500 customers in the market town of Beverley. As a result the town is now said to have “the fastest speeds in the country“.
