Alternative fibre optic ISP Brsk, which is currently in the final stages of being merged into Netomnia’s network (here), has reportedly confirmed that approximately 50,000 homes and businesses across the South Yorkshire (England) market town of Barnsley will be the next to benefit from their roll-out of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband.

Broadband ISP Youfibre, which is available to those covered by Netomnia’s (Brsk) 10Gbps capable FTTP network, has today launched a new “Loyalty Promise” for its renewing customers. The move is part of an effort to help set them apart from the market’s largest ISPs, which often hit existing customers with price hikes at the end of their term.

Broadband ISP Youfibre, which is one of the retail outlets for Netomnia’s (Brsk) 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, has begun to distribute a new router to customers of their top 2Gbps and 7Gbps (average speed) packages. But unlike the Asus AXE16000 router they shipped before, the new kit is their first own-brand device and more will follow.

Network operator Netomnia (inc. Brsk and ISP YouFibre) has today announced that their £39m investment to deploy a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network across the city of Liverpool (Merseyside) has covered 110,000 premises (homes and businesses). But they’re now planning to add another 80,000 premises.

The Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) has today appointed Neos Networks to lead their £1.2m D2N2 Gigahubs project, which will work alongside Openreach (BT) and Netomnia to deploy a new full fibre gigabit broadband network to connect “up to” 28 public buildings (schools, NHS sites etc.) across rural parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Alternative network operator Netomnia (inc. Brsk and YouFibre) has today announced that they’ve successfully expanded their 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network to cover 2.08 million UK homes and businesses (RFS) on time (up from 1.82m on 30th Sept 2024). Customers have also grown to 238,000 (up from 190k).

Strategic consultancy firm Eight Advisory has today launched a new Takeup Tracker, which examines the steady rise in take-up across the UK’s many alternative full fibre broadband (altnet) networks and compares it with that of incumbent operator Openreach (BT). The new tracker paints a mixed picture, albeit one with some positives to share.

Broadband network operator Netomnia (inc. Brsk and YouFibre) has today announced that they’ve signed a deal to expand their 10Gbps full fibre network into properties managed and owned by Peabody (inc. subsidiaries). This is a not-for-profit housing association that serves thousands of residents across their housing stock in Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire and Kent (England).

Gigabit broadband ISP YouFibre, which sells packages via Netomnia (inc. Brsk) and Cityfibre’s respective 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) networks – across different parts of the United Kingdom, has today announced that they’ve more than doubled their customer base in just 10 months to total 150,000.

Broadband ISP YouFibre, which is one of the retail outlets for Netomnia’s (inc. Brsk) 8Gbps capable full fibre (FTTP) network, has worked with NFWare to deploy the “industry’s first” 400Gbps virtual Carrier Grade Network Address Translation (vCGNAT) servers to its customers. The move should help them to keep up with their rapid subscriber growth.

Broadband network operator Netomnia (inc. Brsk and YouFibre) will today post their latest Q3 2024 results, which among other things reveals that the annual build rate for their new 8Gbps speed full fibre (FTTP) network has exceeded 1 million premises (total 1.82m, up 258k in quarter) and customer take-up hit 10.4% to total 190,000 (up 9% or 40k in quarter).

Alternative network operator and ISP Brsk has today announced that their 2Gbps Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network, which already covers “over” 700,000 UK homes and is in the process of being merged with Netomnia (here), is being expanded to cover a further 10,000 “rural” premises in 5 new locations across West Yorkshire (England).

Network builder Netomnia (inc. retail ISP YouFibre), which is currently merging with Brsk (here) and rolling out a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across the UK, has today announced that they’ve secured an additional investment (loan) of £25m from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) to help accelerate their deployment.
