Urban ISP Hyperoptic Launch FTTH Broadband January SALE

Thursday, Jan 7th, 2016 (3:24 pm) - Score 801

Ultrafast fibre optic ISP Hyperoptic, which is deploying a 1Gbps capable FTTH/P broadband network to selected homes and businesses around twelve of the United Kingdom’s major cities, has updated their website with a number of January Sale discounts for those lucky enough to be covered.

At present the price discounts, which all last for the first 12 months of service (contract term), are primarily available on their broadband and phone bundles, which oddly for a Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH/P) provider means that you still have to pay the cost of a phone service on-top at £16 per month. A free router, free installation and free Evening and Weekend landline calls are also included.

A number of standalone (no phone required) packages are also available, although these attract a £40 setup fee and the monthly rental is increased to compensate for the loss of their phone rental. In the end there isn’t much advantage to taking the standalone route, which is a little disappointing.

Broadband and Phone Bundles

20Mbps Unlimited Broadband + Phone
PRICE: FREE for 12 months (£9 per month thereafter) + Line Rental

100Mbps Unlimited Broadband + Phone
PRICE: £15 per month for 12 months (£22 thereafter) + Line Rental

1000Mbps (Gig) Unlimited Broadband + Phone
PRICE: £30 per month for 12 months (£47 thereafter) + Line Rental

Standalone Broadband (No Phone Service)

20Mbps Fibre Broadband
PRICE: £15 per month for 12 months (£22 thereafter)

100Mbps Fibre Broadband
PRICE: £30 per month for 12 months (£35 thereafter)

1000Mbps (Gig) Fibre Broadband
PRICE: £50 per month for 12 months (£60 thereafter)

Sadly the ISPs network only focuses upon connecting big apartment or office blocks in London (this is where they have the most coverage), Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol, Reading, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham and Newcastle, which means that you’re probably not covered but it’s worth checking if you live in such an area. The ISP aims to cover a total of 500,000 premises by 2018.
