Cable ISP Virgin Media Business is to begin offering mobile handsets to UK SME subscribers who take one of their “Voom Fibre” 350Mbps business unlimited ultrafast broadband services, including discounts if they choose a Samsung or Apple model device.
The operator can already offer a triple-play bundle of broadband, phone and mobile thanks to their 5 year Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) agreement with BT (EE), thus it makes sense for them to branch out and cover handsets as well.
Apparently customers can save £25 per month on Voom Fibre 3 business broadband with an Apple iPhone 8 or a Samsung S9+ with 32GB of data and unlimited calls + texts. On top of that they’ll also receive 5 static IPs (assuming their Hitron router can handle that now), a 12-hour fault fix time service level agreement and access to more than 3.5 million WiFi hotspots.
The handsets will also be offered stand-alone on either 24 or 36 month contracts, with a choice of data allowances and no upfront costs.
Rob Orr, VMB Executive Director (Commercial & Marketing), said:
“This is fantastic news for our customers; leveraging the Virgin Mobile network puts us in control of defining the new mobile offerings and bundles we want to offer our customers, rather than having to accept ‘me-too’ offers for our customers.
By challenging the status quo and providing mobile connectivity and services in a more Virgin way, we will be able to give our customers new mobile offers which respond to the rapidly changing needs of their businesses.”
VMB also continues to provide mobile services to its larger enterprise and public sector customers and late last year announced Business Anywhere, which is a service that allows workers in the field to remotely connect into their corporate network using a mobile device (some businesses already do this via their own custom Virtual Private Network).
so… £1,558.8 for a samsung s9+ with the data. Don’t think so bucko.
£69 per month for 350/20Mb internet landline and a top end mobile with data seems a good deal to me.
I’ve got it (had it a few weeks so was sim only) but I called them and they offered me an S9+ for free –
It’s 32GB a month which rolls over. I can get well over 200mbps on the sim – so yes it is really worth it I think 🙂
I used to pay £68 a month for just 1 phone and 25GB!
It only roles over for 1 month though?
Does it roll over longer on any other monthly contract provider?
