Hyperoptic Discount UK Full Fibre Broadband Prices for Summer

Tuesday, Jul 13th, 2021 (5:09 pm) - Score 1,200
Hyperoptic HQ London Hammersmith

City focused full fibre ISP Hyperoptic, which is building 1Gbps capable FTTP/B networks to large UK residential buildings, office blocks and some houses, has just launched a new summer sale promotion that discounts their monthly prices to some of the lowest levels we’ve ever seen (e.g. 900Mbps for £35 per month).

The latest offer is set to run until 2nd August 2021 and new customers can order up to 90 days in advance to lock in these savings and arrange to go live at a later date, with nothing to pay until then. We should add that customers wanting to take their cheapest entry-level 30Mbps plan will need to follow this link because they don’t include it on their main product page.

As usual, new customers can choose from either a ‘broadband and phone’ bundle or a ‘broadband-only’ (standalone) service on a 12-month minimum contract term. You can also get a “no contract” option (broadband-only), but this tends to cost a few pounds extra per month. We note that a one-off connection fee of £29 applies to most packages, albeit dropping to £9.99 on their 30Mbps option and it’s free for 500Mbps and 900Mbps.

All packages include unlimited usage, 24/7 support, a wireless router and a dynamic IP address or £5 extra per month for a Static IP. Hyperoptic’s network has an ambition to cover 2 million homes by the end of 2021 and then possibly 5 million by the end of 2024 (here), but it’s currently unclear how far along they are with that target.

NOTE: The 150Mbps and faster tiers have symmetric download and upload speeds.

      Irrelevant if you’re not covered.

  2. Avatar photo You can't have broadband because Openreach said NOPE says:

Funny thing is, Openreach insist they absolutely CANNOT serve your property with FTTP but a Hyperoptic cabinet in the communal cupboard is supplied by an Openreach leased line!

Hyperoptic must only be paying less than £800-£1000 a year for the wholesale otherwise it cannot possibly make economic sense considering the general uptake of the services as it would appear residents seem to prefer sticking with ADSL (No FTTC available) Does that mean the building has EO lines?

    1. Avatar photo CarlT says:

Leased lines don’t mean much for availability of FTTP.

Hyperoptic may have multiple buildings on a single leased line with a daisy chain of their own fibre between them and Openreach for the last leg.

If it were only £800 a year for a multiple gigabit leased line 900/110 FTTP at £60 a month wouldn’t be attractive.

Would be great that……….IF you could actually get hyperoptic.

It explains why they were canvassing down my road today. Told them I’ll join next year when my current contract is up.

i wish i could get a supplier like this to come to our area.

Difference between this offer price and the ongoing price is enormous.

Might store up some problems at contract renewal time unless that price is going down.
