ISP YouFibre Discounts UK Full Fibre Packages Down to GBP11
Customers in towns covered by UK ISP YouFibre, which is harnessing the new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network being built by Netomnia, may be interested to know that the provider has dramatically discounted their prices for those who sign-up over the Black Friday weekend.
At present the network has already covered 75,000 UK premises – rising to 100,000 by the end of this year, and they aim to reach 1 million by the end of 2023 (here). The first deployments are currently taking place across a number of towns including Ashford, Barrow-in-Furness, Boston, Canterbury, Cheltenham, Durham, Houghton le Spring, Kings Lynn, Peterlee, Spalding, Spennymoor, Stockton, Stroud, and Wisbech.
However, as a result of the discounts, new customers will now pay from just £11 per month on an 18-month term (£22 thereafter) for their unlimited symmetric speed 50Mbps package, which rises to just £25 if you want their top 920Mbps plan (£50 thereafter). Each package includes a free installation, UK based support and a wireless router (mesh WiFi is also included by default with their 920Mbps plan).

Good on them, Openreach FTTP will not offer any Cyber Weekend discount! Shame on you Openreach!
Openreach aren’t an ISP, they do wholesale and have various discount schemes on FTTP. Retail ISPs on Openreach’s network are currently running various discounts, which are pretty normal across the industry around the Black Friday period.
Openreach offering a discount would be like Western Power offering a black friday discount. It just doesn’t fit for a business which doesn’t sell directly do the public.
Openreach do try to reduce the prices to their clients – your ISP – but they are constantly challenged by OFCOM, CityFibre, Virgin, Gigaclear et all.
So don’t solely blame the BT Group for the pricing of FTTP over the Openreach network as they are stopped more times than not by their competitors use of the legal system and OFCOM.

Just changed my outstanding order to 1000 Mbps with mesh Wi-fi and fixed IP address for £30. Service allegedly going live next month. Lots of activity in our street with the installation last couple of weeks.
Snap, I called them today to ask if I could take use of the offer, they replied “Yes!! you certainly can, let me apply the discount, OK thats done”,Now I just have to wait till May 2022, as my install date keeps getting pushed back (3 times now)

The price difference is incredible. There are Openreach FTTP properties in many of the areas right next to these towns. But for 900/115, the price is at least £49-55??

And by the end of the contract, prices would have come down across the board surely, so you can just switch rather than paying £50.
They do not use Openreach, they build their own network using different contractors such as Map Group UK. They also use Netomnia their other company to the building works too. They are this cheap because of the gigabit vouchers from the government.
This isn’t a deployment fuelled by vouchers, it’s moving far too fast for that and often in locations where vouchers cannot be used. Netomnia have got £123m of private funding behind them.
Netomnia/youfibre and near enough all the other Altnets …. And even VirginMedia … are utilising BTOR UG and OG network.
It’s a land grabbing industry, gone are the days of Gigaclear and others digging up entire towns … one of the only companies still using this strategy is Gnetworks (for their own reasons).
