Mobile operator Three UK has today launched a new range of ‘Three Your Way‘ airtime plans (i.e. those that bundle a mobile phone with a mobile service plan), which give customers more flexibility to customise their benefits, airtime contract length, and control how much they pay for their device over time.

All of Three’s plans currently include the same basics – 5G support at no extra cost, unlimited calls and texts, and Three+ rewards. But after that the refreshed plans start to show some differences, depending upon whether you take their ‘Lite’, ‘Value’ or ‘Complete’ options.

The Three Your Way plans also allow customers more flexibility to choose the upfront cost and how many months they wish to spread the remaining device payments across.

It would be great if their service even worked to start with. Can’t even get 4g in most of my town. Told 13th October it’ll be fixed

Following advice from friends kicked 3 into touch when they stopped free roaming. New provider as good and roaming is as you use at home. Greed is the downfall of so many companies. Their senior management should be aware of this. Those at Hutchinson Telecom who instigated charges for roaming should get the sack.It was an unwise decision and caused people to leave this network in droves.

I have been with Three since the company was founded. The customer service has always been atrocious but I have nine (9) mobile devices on contract and it seemed like a major hassle to move them all.

However, last month they removed access to all but one of my accounts, informing me that they now require one email address per device…all these years and tens of thousands of pounds spent with their awful company *just* to suddenly no longer be able to even see my own bills?!

It’s 2023 and it’s very common for people to have more than one device; demanding people to create additional superfluous email accounts *just* to be able to access your Three device accounts is absurd and frankly pathetic. This was a really stupid and short-sighted failing by Three and one crappy customer service experience too many.

I’m now in the process of selecting another provider.

The message is simple: take care of your customers or you *will* lose them.

if the data and call availability on 3 was ok then give id mobile a try, runs on three,, roam. in europe like at home, online management.

      £7 for 20GB that rolls

Gabriel Christian-King says If it is not too late, have you tried providing 8 fake email addresses by adding a . or s ,

As in myemail@provider.com plain and simple
      m.yemail@provider.com
Keep moving the . or , along

The email host ignores the . and , but three systems may see them as different

Have Three stopped doing 12 month SIM only contracts? the new layout on the website is a bit crazy. When I clicked on the breakdown of charges, its not clear.

    1. Avatar photo ThreeWaylol says:

*found the 12 month SIM only right at the bottom. However the breakdowns need more info.

I along with my friends and all my family, maybe 12 peiple all had advanced contracts in NI, three gave us all 1 month notifications that we are coming off this and the price will be going up, and they were removing roaming, We all have moved to ID mobile for leas money and roaming is included, I will never go back to 3, i know that ID use 3s network bit i dont care

Three used to be the underdog, that had a big following for people who loved using Data.

They have lost touch, and have now got very confusing plans, a much higher price point and removal of roaming.

Ironically… Smarty is now, what Three used to be..

  9. Avatar photo T says:

The roaming up to X amount of days. Is that in total or in any given trip/holiday?

    1. Avatar photo Daveoc64 says:

      It’s in total.

Since reintroducing roaming charges, Three has offered a daily roaming pass that allows you to use your allowance abroad for a set fee.

These plans just include 28/56 of those passes for you to use on days of your choosing during the contract term.

  10. Avatar photo Martin E says:

Was with them for years, but retrospectively not honouring an emailed offer at contract end was the final straw, they lost two 5G broadband contracts and a mobile contract. The only thing I now have left with them is a free 250MB a month sim in a backup mobile.

Their website is rubbish, their customer communications & contract terms borderline incomprehensible, customer service is truly appalling, outsourced, overseas, repeating absolutely everything & very condescending.

EE are just as bad, working from a rigid script robbing a long existing number (and credit) from my mum for not using her mobile despite very clear evidence on both mine and her call logs to the contrary.

Better getting the “new PAYG” – £10/month for 20GB (if you select auto renew” plus the old ‘feel at home roaming’ which works in many non European countries including the USA and no such restricted usage. You can cancel at any time and it is unlikely there will be an increase come April.

  12. Avatar photo I love Starlink says:

And now they do esim at checkout on these plans. About time!

    1. Avatar photo Oliver says:

FAQ on their website says they do esim on PAYG. I was looking to move to a new provider because Vodafone has been atrocious for the last three months in my area. I ordered a pay as you go Sim to test the three network, but I need an eSIM as my work number is a physical Sim. I’ve just spent two hours on chat and trying to get to speak to a person to be repeatedly told that they do not do Esim on PAYG. Bloody awful.

  13. Avatar photo Barry says:

Unfortunately I was ripped off by three in August when I went to Spain. Three even changed me double as a kicker. When my contract expires in February I’ll be moving away from three. Loyalty doesn’t pay as I’m finding out to my cost.
