ISP TalkTalk Business Appoints Ruth Kennedy as New UK CEO

Broadband ISP TalkTalk Business (TTB) has this morning announced that the UK company’s existing Managing Director, Ruth Kennedy, has been officially promoted to the top job of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The move comes as the wider TalkTalk group is going through a lot of changes, while trying to tackle its debt pile.

Ruth joined the provider as MD back in March 2023, having previously held a variety of senior roles across sales, commercial and operations in TalkTalk’s Wholesale and Group Business Units since 2011. She brings over two decades of experience across the telecoms sector to the role.

The new boss will be expected to deliver “exceptional customer experience, optimising operations and driving product innovation” for the company’s 80,000 existing business customers, as well as to support their future growth plans.

The change comes after the group announced plans to demerge into three separate businesses (here) and their related decision to sell the business division (TT Business Direct) to its own shareholders for £95 million (here).
