Mobile operator Mozillion, which is a virtual network operator (mvno) that harnesses EE’s national 4G and 5G platform, has confirmed that some of its customers are experiencing ongoing connectivity problems (i.e. it stopped working) with their WiFi Calling service.
In case anybody doesn’t already know – Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) enables consumers with a supporting Smartphone and mobile operator to harness their home broadband connection or another WiFi network to make mobile voice calls, instead of using your mobile (2G, 4G or 5G) network. The feature is extremely useful, particularly when away from a good mobile signal, but support can still be patchy between different networks and devices.
The problem with this service on Mozillion appears to have started a couple of weeks ago, after some customers began noticing that WiFi Calling seemed to have stopped working. “I have tried enabling and disabled Wi-Fi calling, turning the SIM card on and off, turning the phone on and off, but this has not resolved the problem,” said John, one of those to report the problem.

The provider initially attempted to resolve the problem for some customers by resetting their SIMs, but this did not fix it. Customers who attempt to raise the issue with Mozillion are now being given the following canned statement.
Mozillion Statement on Wi-Fi Calling Problem
“We are aware of a temporary network issue affecting WiFi Calling on some numbers. If you are unable to make calls over WiFi, please temporarily disable this function in your phone’s settings.”
We’ve contacted Mozillion in the hope of getting a bit more information and hopefully some indication of when it might be resolved.
UPDATE 2:01pm
The following comment has arrived.

A Spokesperson for Mozillion told ISPreview:
“We are aware of a few customers currently unable to use the WiFi Calling feature on Mozillion since 13/8/25. The engineers and EE/BT are currently investigating the cause of this to resolve it as soon as possible. We are asking affected users to confirm their phone model and which broadband/WiFi provider that they are connected too in order to assist with resolving the problem.
We will be notifying all customers once the problem is resolved and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Other services, including data, texts and making normal mobile calls over on our network are unaffected by this issue.”

I thought this was just me. When I queried it last week, Mozillion’s customer service told me to “try changing the network selection, as there may be a stronger provider in the area.” I mean, eh? Try a different network? I wish I could use someone other than Mozillion!
I’ve lost my wifi calling on my iPhone 16 Pro and on a BT supplied network provider, they didn’t ask for those details though. Maybe I should contact them again. Otherwise for me their service has been really good, except for when I went to Norway and I couldn’t get the data service to work!
I couldn’t get calls or texts to work while I was in Portugal recently. There’s a thread on Mozillion on here with lots of people having roaming issues (last few pages).

Thought it was my new phone since Android 16 update as was working before that. Other work phones and operators are working so not a router issues as just needs IPSec tunnel. They use either BT IMS or the old Orange IMS – can’t remember which one. Service been great to this point too.
WiFi calling still not back for me, is it the same for everyone else still? No info at all on Mozillion website.
Only the one update put out ISPreview from Mozillion, which is now over 32 hrs without another update, shocking service
Mozillion has still not resolved my Wi-Fi calling issue after almost two weeks. I believe they would not have even addressed the problem without the intervention of ISP Review. Their basic website and slow customer service give the impression of a very small business operating with limited resources.
While the Wi-Fi calling issue is now being looked at, the company also needs to address its widespread roaming problems. A quick search for “Mozillion roaming issues” shows many customers who are unable to use their phones for calls and texts while abroad.
FANNY_VERIFY: WIFI calling still not fixed as of 20/08/2025.
FANNY SAYS: This outfit seems to be run by one or two people, the web site is so basic it’s unbelievable for an MVNO, accepting there is no app either. Although service has been good so far, as it uses EE, it is beginning to worry me about support and how secure is my personal data they have recorded. Fortunately they have no payment detail, as pre-paid via a payment processing company and not stored with them.
WiFi Calling – Still Not Working (22/08)
WiFi calling is still not functioning, which has unfortunately made my SIM unusable. I work from home, and this location is the one place where EE’s reception is very poor—contrary to the coverage map. Outside of this area, signal strength is good. IF they don’t get this resolved can I get a refund on my pre-paid sim?
Mine has started working again today.
Yes , it has just come back on for me to.
I received an email and a text message saying my network setting have been update – restarted again and all working. It took a while but back to the level of service I had come accustomed too.
FANNY_VERIFY: WIFI calling now works. Did not get an SMS about network settings, the phone wifi calling indicator just appeared and then I tried a call.
As of today my Wi-Fi calling has gone again, came back on the 22nd of August, now not working, has anybody else lost Wi-Fi calling you again?
