ISP PlusNet UK Offers 12 Months Half Price Broadband and Calls Bundle

Internet provider PlusNet has begun offering new customers 12 months half price broadband and calls with free activation (normally £25) and a free wireless router. As a result the ISPs bundle prices now start from just £3.24 a month (£6.49 thereafter).

This new promotion, which is available until 26th October 2012, also requires subscribers to take the Phone Line Rental service, which costs £12.99 per month or can be reduced to the equivalent of just £9.49 when you pay 12 months in advanced. A 12 month contract also applies to the packages, although you can take a 1 month contract at extra cost (+£25 activation fee with no free router).

The half price offer only applies to PlusNet’s standard broadband packages and not its new superfast “fibre optic” broadband service (FTTC), which separately starts from £16.49 per month and also offers package speeds that go up to 76Mbps with much bigger usage allowances.

Sadly customers who reside inside of Ofcom’s Market 1 area (i.e. roughly 10% of the UK’s most rural towns and villages), where there is less competition between ISPs, will have to pay more for their service (prices vary). Meanwhile those who need a new phone line installing at their property will need to pay a £49.99 installation charge.
