ISP PlusNet has begun offering a series of new half price promotions on their standard (up to 16Mbps) and superfast (up to 80Mbps) unlimited broadband and phone bundle packages, although the ISP has also quietly hiked some of their line rental and call plan prices.
The discount, which also includes free weekend calls to UK landlines (includes 0870/0845 numbers), is generally only available when customers also take the providers Line Rental service. We note that the bundles no longer include free evening calls.

Sadly the price of line rental has now increased from £13.99 to £14.50 a month or you can also pay the equivalent of £10.99 (up from £10.49) if paying 12 months in advance via Line Rental Saver.

Customers who need a new phone line installing at their property will also have to pay a fairly typical £49.99 installation charge and a 100 mobile call minutes add-on can also be added for £3 extra a month.
It should also be said that those who live in Ofcom’s Market 1 areas (i.e. this mostly covers the last 9-10% of predominantly UK rural areas) can expect to pay a lot more for the standard broadband bundles. For example, the entry-level Essentials Broadband and calls bundle costs £5.99 (after discounts) for most people but Market 1 homes will pay £12.99.
