Business Broadband ISP FastNet Offers new Router for Life Warranty

Thursday, June 20th, 2013 (2:22 pm) - Score 1,305

Business Internet provider FastNet have today introduced a new Router for Life Warranty, which is valid on all standard routers purchased from FastNet and also includes any purchased in the past by existing customers.

As you’d expect the “only condition” is that you remain an active broadband customer with the ISP. Otherwise all they ask is that when you receive a replacement router, on a free next day courier delivery, that you return your original one (assuming it’s become faulty). In fairness this is not dissimilar to the policy of Sky Broadband and some other big consumer focused ISPs.

FastNet’s MD, Joseph Kerr, says

This is a great way to add value to our customers, in a lot of ways we were doing this before but now we’ve decided it’s time to formalise the process and shout about it. What better way to ensure that if your hardware fails you are covered without worrying about additional costs.”

The new offer, which is available until the 11th July 2013, is also timed to coincide with several special promotions on FastNet’s own Business Fibre Pro (FTTC) products, which are currently being offered alongside a Free Install and Free Hardware (usually a combined cost of £225).

Business Fibre Pro – Package Details
•£49.99 Per Month
•FREE Hardware
•FREE Install
•Up to 80Mb Download speeds
•Up to 20Mb Upload speeds
•200GB Monthly usage allowance
•Inclusive 2 spare IP’s (.252)
•Unlimited Business class technical support

At the time of writing we couldn’t find the Fibre Pro package listed with the others on FastNet’s website but more details can be found in this PDF document.
