Kent Wireless ISP VFast Partners Vonage to Offer Cheap Voice Calls

Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 (9:46 am) - Score 1,091

Fixed wireless broadband ISP VFast (Orbitalnet), which covers a large swathe of Kent in South East England, has partnered with internet voice provider Vonage to offer residential Voice-over-IP (VoIP) services and cheaper UK or international calls.

On the surface the packages being offered appear to be more or less identical to Vonage’s default options, which start at £5.99 a month for unlimited UK calls (note: this is currently discounted to £3.99 for the first 3 months plus a £25 gift card). Various other options with international calls are also available.

However VFast has informed ISPreview.co.uk that their prices will “shortly” be changing and customers can also benefit from a dedicated line to call Vonage. On top of that the ISP said that its customers won’t have to wait for a box in the post and instead its “service will be installed and configured by a vfast engineer“.

The solution (http://www.vonage.co.uk/vfast) is seen as being significantly cheaper than conventional fixed line services, albeit only assuming you’re brave enough to give up that old landline.

No big deal I have VoIP from other providers for many years…
and I *could* have BB from VFast, if only….
they were comparable price to landline BB…
,but they are FAR TOO expensive even though
I am BT Openreach Market 1 victim at measly 2Mb/s 🙁
    SHAME
    Regards,
    Martin

Have you looked at the latest packages from Vfast, I don’t think combined with a Vonage package you can say they are far too expensive. At the end of the day you get what you pay for if you are happy with 2mb thats fine stick with jot
