Shropshire-based ISP Aquiss has begun offering free installation alongside their superfast unlimited “fibre” (FTTC) broadband packages, which will save new customers £96 inc. VAT off the normal retail price. A second discount is also added if you take their phone (line rental) service.

New customers who also take Aquiss’s optional phone service have been told that they can benefit from a £20 account credit alongside the above offer. The new promotions will be available until November 4th 2013.

The ISP has a range of both home (http://www.aquiss.net/fibre-unlimited.php) and business (http://www.aquiss.net/business-fibre-broadband.php) FTTC products that start from £36 a month and typically include unlimited usage, a standard 12 month contract, a static IP (IPv4 and IPv6) address and email services with security.

Service speeds start at 38Mbps (Megabits per second) but also go up to 76Mbps and faster uploads with more IP addresses are also available.

Does it really cost £96 to have FTTC installed?

When Virgin Media installs for £49 or free of charge for multiple services including TV with a 30 day money back guarantee?

Is that on top of the (circa) £39 to £149 that it costs to have the phone line installed as well depending on who you go with?

This can’t be right. Surely.. one hopes not.

Anyway, good luck with the offer, hope it brings you the business.

Yes. £80 for the BT bloke to chuck your modem and router on the floor, £10 for him to plug in 2 Ethernet cables along with a faceplate and the final £6 for him to scratch his backside and drink your tea.

It would be £100 but i think the EU must of said they can not charge another £4 for him to use your toilet when finished.
