Budget Internet and phone provider TalkTalk has cut the price of their ‘Superpowered Fibre’ (FTTC) upgrade in half for the first 6 months of service, which means that existing customers can add broadband speeds of up to 38Mbps for an extra £5 per month (normally +£10) on top of their current package.
The deal also stacks with existing offers, which means that those who currently pay just £1.75 per month for the ISPs unlimited SimplyBroadband bundle can add superfast broadband for a total price of just £6.75 per month (rising to £9.25 with their EssentialsTV or £14.25 for PlusTV bundles).
But as usual you also need to add the cost of Line Rental on top, which starts from the equivalent of £11.75 per month when pre-paid one year in advance. Even so TalkTalk now has one of the cheapest national FTTC packages in the country.
