UK ISP TalkTalk Cuts Superfast FTTC Broadband Price in Half

Monday, June 30th, 2014 (10:13 am) - Score 603

Budget Internet and phone provider TalkTalk has cut the price of their ‘Superpowered Fibre’ (FTTC) upgrade in half for the first 6 months of service, which means that existing customers can add broadband speeds of up to 38Mbps for an extra £5 per month (normally +£10) on top of their current package.

The deal also stacks with existing offers, which means that those who currently pay just £1.75 per month for the ISPs unlimited SimplyBroadband bundle can add superfast broadband for a total price of just £6.75 per month (rising to £9.25 with their EssentialsTV or £14.25 for PlusTV bundles).

But as usual you also need to add the cost of Line Rental on top, which starts from the equivalent of £11.75 per month when pre-paid one year in advance. Even so TalkTalk now has one of the cheapest national FTTC packages in the country.

hang fire don’t go with TT they cap your speeds like BT and there overpriced superslow fibre and suppose to be five times faster absolute shambles

I’ve been with TT for six months and in more than happy with the fibre.

It seems to be a decent service as long as nothing goes wrong.

If and when it does you then find that “customer churn” is more acceptable to, and is the business model of, Talk Talk, than is supplying customer service.

And that the long contracts don’t seem quite so appealing now.

Some of the big names seem a bit like corporate versions of the tramp in the street who is always drunk and staggers around urinating in their own trousers.

super duper fibre rubbish that’s why they have it so cheap because they know its rubbish and they know it but wont admit it like open reach with there cowboy jobs when installing fibre and paying over the odds for line rental for old copper which they have had the money over and over for it . rip off bt and talktalk
