The Hampshire Superfast Broadband Programme in England has today confirmed the next round (Phase 3) of areas that can expect to benefit from the councils state aid supported roll-out of BT’s superfast broadband (FTTC/P) services, which aim to reach “at least” 90% of local premises by the end of 2015 and 95% by 2017.
The latest phase is expected to help an additional 11,000 homes and businesses to get a “fibre broadband” connection between now and December 2014, which will be on top of the 620,000 premises that have already benefitted from commercial deployments of similar services.

As usual some of the areas, such as Lymington and Milford-on-Sea, were already announced earlier this year and thus their inclusion below represents the usual exercise via in-fill (i.e. expanding coverage in areas where FTTC technology is already available).

Hampshire also deserves a special mention for the work they’ve done to offer a clear and effective deployment map, which is something that most other Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) schemes have yet to match.
