Mobile Operator EE Gives a Christmas Gift of FREE 4G Data

Customers of EE’s mobile network in the United Kingdom, specifically those new subscribers who take a Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) Smartphone or Tablet computer, will this Christmas be given 100MB (MegaBytes) of free mobile data each and every month.

The promotion includes all new 4G tablets launched on EE between now and 31st January 2015, and Smartphones or mobile SIMs between now and 28th December 2014 (note: those just taking a SIM will need to pay a one-off £5 activation top-up). Otherwise EE says there’s no minimum spend or top up required and “absolutely no other catches, just a bit of extra data to use when and wherever customers need it most.”

In addition, EE’s Recycle and Reward service means that customers can also trade their old devices for additional discounts on the latest 4G tablets and smartphones. However it remains to be seen whether this delivers better value than simply selling them on eBay.
