Internet provider Pulse8 Broadband has informed us that they’ve stopped offering superfast “fibre broadband” (FTTC) packages with capped usage allowances and have instead upgraded to offer an unlimited service, which will come at no extra cost. On top of that they’re one of the few FTTC providers to offer a monthly contract.
Previously customers who took the ISPs 38Mbps home fibre package for £38 per month would have had to stick to a 100GB (GigaBytes) monthly usage allowance or pay an extra £6 to get an unlimited upgrade, while those on their 76Mbps capable £44 per month solution would have been given 500GB.

But now both services offer “unlimited use” for the same price and the total cost also includes phone line rental (this is normally £13 per month when taken separately).
Adam Fullalove, Director of Pulse8, told ISPreview.co.uk:
“We’ve removed all usage CAPS on our Superfast Fibre broadband service. This means that anyone who was previously on our £38 per month pay monthly package now gets unlimited use but also means that anyone who previously paid extra (£44) for an unlimited service now saves £6 a month.
Such is the beauty of not being tied into a long term contract (which always looks good at the start but gets more expensive as you go on) is that with us (at least) you always benefit from our latest tariff / pricing which will only ever go down!
And we’re small enough to give personal support, and will always go the extra mile.”
