Cable ISP Virgin Media UK Cuts Standalone Superfast Broadband Prices

Virgin Media has cut the price of their standalone 50Mbps superfast broadband (Solus) package for the first 12 months of service, which drops the monthly package price to just £18 per month (£32.25 thereafter) + £14.99 one-off activation. A similar deal exists on their 100Mbps and 200Mbps options.

All customers are subject to an 12 month contract and receive a free SuperHub wireless router, unlimited usage, free access to Virgin’s WiFi hotspots (e.g. London Underground Stations), free Internet security + Parental Controls and free email. A £40 standard install charge may also apply in some situations.

SuperFibre 50 broadband
Price: £18 per month for 12 months (£32.25 thereafter)

VIVID 100 broadband
Price: £23 per month for 12 months (£37.25 thereafter)

VIVID 200 Fibre Broadband
Price: £31 per month for 12 months (£45.25 thereafter)

The promotion will be available until 28th November 2016. Meanwhile those looking at Virgin’s triple-play Big Bundles of broadband, phone, TV and or mobile will also get a free PURE Jongo T6 wireless speaker or £125 voucher. Similarly anybody interested in their dual-play cable broadband and phone packages will get a PURE Jongo T4 wireless speaker or £75 voucher.
