The broadband ISP division of high street giant John Lewis has further reduced the price of their ‘up to’ 17Mbps unlimited broadband and phone bundle to £20 a month for the first 12 months of service (£26.50 thereafter), which also benefits from free UK weekend and evening landline calls.
The discount is only available for new customers to order until the end of May 2017 and subscribers will receive a 12 month contract term, UK based 24/7 customer support, PC security from BullGuard, free UK evening and weekend calls, unlimited usage and an included wireless router.
We’ve put a summary of the three packages below, including their ‘up to’ 38Mbps and ‘up to’ 76Mbps FTTC “fibre broadband” packages that also remain on offer at a reduced price. Take note that if you need a brand new line installed then there’s a one-off charge of £49.99.
Unlimited Broadband and Phone
* Up to 17Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £20 a month for 12 months (£26.50 thereafter)
Unlimited Fibre Broadband and Phone
* Up to 38Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £32.50 a month for 12 months (£38 thereafter)
Unlimited Fibre Extra Broadband and Phone
* Up to 76Mb Download SpeedPRICE: £36.50 a month for 12 months (£43 thereafter)
As usual Anytime UK calls to landlines can be added for an extra +£5 per month and there are similar add-ons for international and mobile calls. The service itself is based off PlusNet’s platform, although unlike them JLB appears to charge the same no matter where in the UK you live (this avoids the nasty rural vs urban price divide).
