BT Discounts 76Mbps Unlimited Infinity 2 FTTC Broadband Package Price

UK ISP BT has cut the price of their ‘up to’ 76Mbps Unlimited Infinity 2 (FTTC) broadband and phone bundle, which has been reduced from the previous offer of £49.99 a month for 18 months to just £39.99 for new customers (£56.49 thereafter). They’ve also added a £150 Reward Mastercard.

Keeping track of BT’s special offers can be a nightmare because, much like a game of musical chairs, they’re constantly tweaking their vouchers, setup fees and monthly rentals. Suffice to say that establishing a baseline cost can be difficult but in this case it looks like the Infinity 2 discount pushes the price down lower than we’ve seen it go for awhile.

On top of that we should point out that BT has reintroduced their £150 reward cards across almost all of their Infinity broadband packages, except their ‘up to’ 52Mbps service that adopts the slightly lower level of £125. Otherwise customers will receive an 18 month contract term, line rental, unlimited usage, free UK weekend calls, a wireless router (SmartHub) and at least 200GB of BT Cloud storage (1000GB on Unlimited Infinity 2 – 4).

The packages also include BT Virus Protect and Parental Controls, BT Call Protect (stops nuisance calls), free access to BT’s national network of WiFi hotspots and SmartTalk (voice calls over Wi-Fi/4G). Take note that Infinity 3 and 4 are currently FTTP based packages, which means they’re only available to around half a million or so premises, while Infinity 1-2 are FTTC and cover most of the UK.
